DSL will get installed friday. The equipment came today, but the kit they sent us says we can’t install it until the software is installed, and we can’t install the software until the connection is activated, all of that will be happening friday.

Aside from that, the 14 feet of cat5 cable they gave us won’t reach from the main phone jack in the kitchen, to the modem that’ll be sitting here at the computer. So, i’m gonna have to go up to the local computer shop tomorrow to pick up 25 feet of cat5 cable for $12. Then I’ll be able to get a connection from the phone jack way over there >>> to the modem which will be sitting on my desk over there ^^^ . The other cable they gave us to connect the modem to my ethernet port will reach far enough. Woo hoo.

Yeah Heah!

On the other side of things, here’s a post i wrote about biking today with my blogtress :

For the past 2 days, i’ve had to deal with really intense back pain when riding the bike.

It doesn’t start up immediately after starting to ride. But, it usually kicks in about 30 minutes into the trip.

Today i had to stop twice just to try and deal with the pain.

Ohh well, no way to treat it. Since i haven’t had health care for about 3 years.

Maybe some of my druggie friends can set me up with some pain pills.

Eh, that’s all. Today’s trip was 10 miles, construction on the pollyann trail is looking pretty good. See ya later.

That’s all, later biatches

And then there was today.

hey people,

I’m feelin’ very very tired right baout now. We had some turkey for dinner, and i’ve been feelin’ terrible since. Not terrible in a sense that i’m suffering, just terrible in teh sense that i can’t get up to do anything because i’m so tired.

Today i biked out to leonard. The total trip was about 16 miles, I made the mistake of eating turkey, and going out to bike. While i was out there, i took a couple pictures. Here’s one, here’s another.

The UPS man didn’t come with our DSL equipment today. It should be here by tomorrow. The DSL order status page has all kinds of screwed up information. First, it doesn’t list a UPS tracking number. Second, it still says it is going to be a technician install. I’ll give them a call tomorrow to ask what’s up.

That’s about it for today. See ya later.

There’s a guy named David over on irc.webhostingtalk.com #wht who just can’t seem to be nice to me.

I’m not sure why. Perhaps it’s because he’s had the penis’ of 18 different black men shoved up his asshole for the past 15 years. Or maybe it’s because his dad was fucking him for the 6 years before that.

Maybe it’s because his sister refused to suck him off on his 20th birthday. Blueballs can be torturious for a young man.

Maybe it’s because the boys in gym class laughed at his small penis, and sodomized him in the shower.

Maybe it’s because after sodomizing him, they all jacked off in a bucket, and dumped it on his face while a few of the black men from earlier held him down.

Maybe it’s because while they bukkaked him, they had his nipples hooked up to a car battery.

I don’t know why this guy has been so mad at me. Hopefully he’ll stop holding those repressed memories inside, and see a therapist.

Poor david :(

oh yeah…

Last night around 2:00am, i was disconnected. When i reconnected, regardless of where i went, i was redirected back to an MSN billing info page.

I was pretty confused, but i recognized i wouldn’t be able to do anything to fix the problem, so i just wandered to the recliner to watch tv.

Skip a day, and we tried to fix up the account with their online tools. The problem was simple - the old card had expired last month, and they issued a new one. However, there was no difference in account numbers, only expiration date. But when we tried to update the expiration date it only told us that we should check the item with the warning symbol next to it, only problem - not a single warning symbol was next to any input field.

So, we called them up, and got stuck on the phone with some bitchy american lady. After 10 minutes she started to get pissed off, and tried blaming the problem on us. Asking us if we had enough money in the account, and so forth. We knew we had enough money in the account, but we decided to call the bank anyway.

Skip ahead 10 minutes, we get confirmation from the bank that everything is okay.

So, we call MSN back and get stuck on the line with a few indian people. None of them knew what the problem was, and they were generally irritating. So, we told them that we would just take our money elsewhere.

After that, we discussed what should be done, and we decided we would just order the SBC DSL online. The problem there was we had no internet connection to order with. After some quick thinking, i remembered there was a local ISP called dreamnet which sold dialup dirt cheap, and we could use a temporary connection with them to purchase dsl from sbc.

So, i called them up, and unfortunantly their owner was out on the road, and away from the computer. He told me he would setup my account later that night around 10:30pm, when he got home. So, i waited it out, and eventually it was setup.

Now i’m connected with cogent. It’s an okay connection, just kinda slow. We’ll order dsl tomorrow.

Earlier in the day, i jumped on the bike and rode up to town to try and cash the check i recieved from matt. The ride was sucky, because it was really wet outside, and all area surrounding road was muddy. Somehow, i made it through the area, but about 500 feet from the bank, i had to get off the road, and walk through some uber-muddy construction land. When i got out, my tires were caked with mud, to the point that they couldn’t even move without hand removing some mud from above the tires.

After i made it across the street, i got into the bank. I wasn’t too muddy, just a little. The accountant asked for 2 forms of ID, i only had one. She sent me over to another accountant, and that guy was totally cool. So, he took the check, and looked up the account info, and it returned an insufficient funds error. He told me that, and i just cursed to myself, and left.

The rest of the day.. It was storming all day, so i could only get 5 miles in. Yesturday, i got 9 miles. I know, i’m slacking. I’ll get some more work in later this week, hopefuly weather will be nice tomorrow.

I got myself a wordpress.com invite. You can see it by looking at mikey.wordpress.com .

That’s all for today, laterios.

today’s bad idea.

Today i left at 6:00pm and i took my camera with me. I put my camera in my camera bag, and then put the camera bag into my back pack. From there, i filled up my water bottle, put it on the counter, went over here to get my computer, and headed outside with the computer in my hand.

After that, i came back inside and put my back pack on, and headed out. Unfortunantly, it wasn’t until i was on hosner road that i realized i forgot my water bottle. It was too late in the trip to head back, so i decided i would just go on without water.

Well, i ventured on for a while, and when i reached lake george road, i decided i would continue past the gate. So, i continued past the gate, and another gate, and another gate, and eventually i came across the area where limestone is being paved in, and there’s a bunch of construction equipment sitting around.

While out there, i stopped to take a photo of the area. A couple of bikers passed me, and said hello.

After getting the photos, i continued down the trail. Some of it was messy (downed tree branches, mud, etc.), but other than that it was fine.

Eventually i came up a hill on the trail, and i was on a section of brand new paved road that i had never seen before. I thought it would be neat to look around, so i got on the road, and started traveling down it. While riding down the road, i saw a few newspaper boxes for romeo’s local paper - The Romeo Observer.

At this point, i was too far out there to head back to the trail. So, i continued down that road. While riding around, i found that i was on rochester road. I remembered that this road can lead me back to oxford if i ride for a very long time. So, i continued down it with intentions to take it all the way back to oxford.

Eventually i got on the phone and called home. The mom was pissed off that i was lost. I told her i’d call back when i had an idae where i was.

Eventually i came up to a sign that said “welcome to leonard”, and i thought “ohh fuck, what am i doing here?”. So, i continued down the road, and turned in what i believed was the direction of oxford, which took me onto this dirt road.

At that point, it was pitch black dark. I had no idea where i was, but i still believed i was on the trail to oxford, so i continued down this fairly scary road for a while, and eventually i turned onto another dirt road, which took me to another dirt road, and eventually i found something i could recognize - kingsbury school. I hadn’t ever gone there, but i knew somebody who did, and i had previously passed that place on another one of my bike rides. I took my phone out of my pocket there, but i had no coverage out there.

So, i rode for about 20 minutes and eventually i was in the coverage area. So, i called home and mom said the dad went out searching for me, and he was going to be very pissed off when he found me. I agreed, and continued.

Skip 30 more minutes, and i was nearing the new high school. Out there, i got a call and they asked me where i was. I told them that i was about 15 minutes from the school, and they said okay.

So, i continued out down a few roads, and eventually i reached the big highschool-side hill, and went down that, and road the lakeville road bike path back home. When i got home, it was 9:30pm.

Here’s a few photos from the trip:

i have a stalker? Coooooooooooool

Filed under: A Glimpse into The Madness, The Internet — mikey @ 7:09 am

Last night i went searching through WHT for “Oxford, MI” because i was looking for a word i had previously used when describing something happening with my town. In the search results was This thread, which was started by WHT’s Resident Gremlin / Blithering idiot; The Doctor.

In this thread, Laurie (that’s his real name) went on to ask questions about the town i live in. As well as information about an organization whose address and telephone number i included in my old imikey.com whois records. He also asked if any other WHT members lived there, my guess is so he could send some people out to find me, and who knows.. probably just spy on me or something.

I find the idea of someone stalking me both hilarious, and a frightening. Most of the fear comes from the fact that I’ve seen laurie’s photo, and he looks like he comes from a long line of mass murderers. Hell, he’s probably ready to skin the bodies of all my family members, and line the walls of his cave with our skin. Will i let this stop me from insulting him at any given chance? Of course not. Simply because i know he probably doesn’t have enough money to buy a plane ticket from his home in australia, all the way out here to oxford, Michigan.

Really, what’s the worst that could happen? The guy’s like 50. Do you think a 50 year old could actually beat up a 22 year old? He’d have to have a mighty sharp spear (i hear they still use those where he lives) in order to do any real damage. Ya know if he saves up for 2 or 3 years to buy a plane ticket, that he’s not going to be able to afford any good weaponary.

Anyway, I just had to share that with everyone. Laurie will probably be reading this entry a few minutes after i hit the publish button. Hey baby :)

wahoo

So last night i fell asleep at 10:00pm. Then today i woke up at 4:45pm.

I regret not waking up earlier. It was a very nice day, and i could have gone out to photograph the trail. Ohh well, there go those plans. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow. boohoo.

Today’s bike trip was okay. I rode from my house, to the small enterance at oxford lakes, out the enterance on the opposite side, down glaspe, cut through there to m24, went all the way down through town, then i rode back down glaspe, and down to drahner where i rode through the wilderness, made a call to test my phone reception, went all the way down until i reached hosner, and from there i rode for a very long time until reaching m24, at which time i skipped over onto the pollyann trail, and took that route back home.

drahner is a very hilly road. My phone picks up very well in the middle of the woods.

Not sure what my time and odometer totals were, here’s todays:

Odometer: 67.5 miles
Max Speed: 29.5mph
Time: 6 hours, 37 minutes

Also, i finally got my check from matt. Will be going up to bank 1 tomorrow to get it cashed, since he butchered my name, and the check number is real low.

did some laundry, rode out to the credit union to get $215 out, went up to the cingular dealer and bought myself a nokia 3120 phone with a 25 dollar phone card.

Phone works great, took some getting used to, all is well now, still need to configure some other stuff.

Turkey sandwich for lunch. I haven’t slept in a while, i believe i will go to bed in a little while.

9.5 miles rode on the trip in between home, the bank, and the cingular store.

then today

busy night. Will be riding out to orion this morning to get some cash out of the bank to purchase a cell phone. Can’t sleep because I’ll wake up later than 1:00pm - the bank’s closing time. Had to cut the ride a little short due to rain. Will wait until weather is nice until i go out on a picture taking trip for the pollyann trail people.

Have a good night, people.
