Oh, hello…
Life has been pretty good.
Last weekend I went for a job interview in chicago, and was hired. I start on the 7th of june. Before that happens, I need to move there. I’ve been searching craigslist for apartments, and have narrowed it down to either a $450 townhouse with this 35 year old cop in training, or a $1550 1br condo by myself. I’m leaning in the direction of the condo, because the location is really good. I was previously looking at $650/month sublet, but they picked another buyer.
Yesterday I got high with victoria. She made spaghetti for dinner, and we went to see hot fuzz at the theater a couple of blocks away. She’s fixing to move away to portland around the same time I’ll be moving to chicago. It’ll be sad to part ways.
The family is finally settling with the idea of me moving away. I talked to a couple of other family members today, and they seemed to approve. I still have to go visit my mom’s-side grandmother later this week to let her know.
My work with axishost is done. I might have some future projects in the future, but for now my sights are set on the new company I’ll be working for.
I bought some new shoes. Who knew Dr. Scholl’s made such awesome shoes? These things are comfortable as fuck, good looking, and they were only $60.
My bike finally got fixed today. It was put out of commission several weeks ago when i noticed an insane problem in my rear wheel. I did about 19 miles tonight, and plan to do at least 80 more before I leave the state. Chicago was ranked as one of the most cyclist-friendly cities in america. Hopefully the statistic doesn’t break when I move there.
I managed to drop 5 pounds while my bike was out of comission. This was accomplished by walking 4 - 8 miles every day.
