It rained for most of the day.

Then at 7:30pm i got pissed off and headed west on the bike.

West lasted for like 5 miles until i reached the end of the road. So, i turned north, and rode for a while until my back started hurting. So, i drank some water, and turned at the nearest east-bound road. Then i rode east up some really big hills until reaching m24. At m24 i turned south, and rode back towards town. Once i reached town, i turned back east, and went back home.

So, I guess you could say i rode like this:

17 miles total. Nothing fun. Really foggy and wet outside. Back pain didn’t help, and neither did the mud on side of the roads.

I think i’ll do it again tomorrow, when it should be nicer outside.

I got my second set of prints back from deviantart. They all look pretty great. You should buy some yourself here. I dropped all my prices a week ago, so I’m not making any profit. I would just like to know that someone has some of my photos somewhere in their house.

That’s all i’ve got. Have fun, folks.

evening gents,

i’m feeling pretty tired. I don’t remember what i have done since the last post, but it’s probably not important, so let’s just talk about what i did these three days.

Monday my tire went flat during the end of my ride. Walked the last half mile back home, got the tube replaced, figured things would be cool the next day.

Tuesday i got on my bike with 15 minutes left until the bank closed. I had to get there to get $50 out, but with 1 mile to go, my tire blew up. I ran the rest of the way, but i was just a couple minutes too late. I continued walking the bike through town to paintcreek bikes to see if they could do me an IOU. They did, and i got the tire as well as the tube replaced. Tire was $35, tube was $5, service fee was $7. I got back home, dad complimented tire, i rode around on it for a while, and things were cool.

Wednesday, packed up camera, and got the $50 out of the bank. Went to bike shop, paid off debt, went to park, bummed out about all the money i had to pay just to get my tire fixed. Biked back into oxford, passed through town, went down to a subdivision that’s on the southern side of stoney lake, got some not-so-great pictures, left.

I want this.

That’s all i’ve got. Have fun.

today i got stranded on the other side of lake orion.

That was not a very fun time.

20 miles total for the day.

73.56 miles done this week.

photos and such are here and here

I’ve met a few crazy people this week. One was saturday. He told me about how he was running for senate, and then he started ranting about this nazi banker who owns all the banks, and controls the media, as well as several high-ranking politicians. He also told me about how the netherlands have an active euthanasia campaign for the elderly.

The other was a guy named travelin’ joe. He was a passive aggressive character. When i came up to him, he was cutting up his shirt with a knife. I stuck around and talked with him. He was pretty cool, but his possession of a knife scared me away.

i got some work with hostpc.com . Anky from WHT got me the job. Rockin’.

I’m out of here. Take care, folks.

fall asleep at 5:45am

get up at 10am

chill out for a while

get on bike at 4:30pm

ride 16 miles out into rochester, end up at some unknown park that’s way the hell out there.

Take a photo: [link]

Bike the same way back. Take a photo.

Somewhere during the trip back, I get really weak, but i continue on despite all these different factors keeping me from having a good time.

Get back into orion, and get off the trail. I sit down in some neighborhood and a lady comes out to give me some water. Aparently two people required an ambulance due to heat exhaustion, and they were right out there. I should probably not try riding 30 miles in one day again.

Continue back to oxford, continue feeling awful.

Get back home at 8:45. 32.5 miles on trip distance, distance for the week is 72.59. Will do two 10 mile trips this weekend.

i have a giant headache due to dehydration.

That’s all.

Tonight’s Trip

Filed under: The Daily RoundUp, Weight Loss — mikey @ 11:26 pm

Around 6:30 I got on the bike, and started on what I believed would be another casual 10 mile ride. The trip was fairly normal up until I saw this my-ageish girl riding her bike at a really fast pace through downtown lake orion. Interested in meeting some new people, i started following her. Following her went for about 5 minutes until she met up with another biker, so then he joined in on our little ride.

Then as we passed KFC, i remembered someone recommending i jump on the paintcreek trail, which lies just east of KFC. So, i turned in, and went back until I found the gate for the trail. One other person was jumping on the trail at the time, so, I just passed him up, and started hauling ass.

As I speed down the path, I passed up many different people. Some bikers, some joggers, some people walking their dogs. I was doing about 15mph, with casual jumps up to 20. I watched my trip distance as it climbed up near 10 miles, but i just kept going, relentless. The trail was absolutely beautiful, and I wasn’t about to pass up the chance to check out some other parts on this wonderful day.

Eventually I reached the end of the trail. I was stranded in downtown rochester, but i wasn’t very worried. It was about 7:40pm, and the scenery of the city was really nice. I wish I would have brought my camera, but i wasn’t planning on taking a long trip.

So, i chilled out in rochester for a little while. There was a river, and some bridges, and some tall buildings. However, the sun was looking pretty low, so I started on my way back home. My trip distance meter said i had rode 14.50 miles.

I started on my way back, I was much more tired than before. There was some wind from the southwest, so i was kind of held back. But, I did manage to keep an average speed of 14mph, with regular energy boosts speeding me up around 20mph. The sun was going down, and i had to wear my sunglasses because i had nowhere else to put them. After the first break point, I asked another biker what time it was, and he told me that it was 8:15. I said thanks, and continued on my way.

As I continued, I saw some signs that i had seen coming the first way. Each one gave me a little hope, as I continued home. There were a few people out still, but not as many as before. There were about 60 during the first half, and I have to wonder if something special was happening this day. I got a few waves, and there some pretty girls walking the trail.

I ran out of water around the 15% mark of the second half. I had been searching for a party store to buy some gateraid, but to no avail. Around the 48% marker i did find a water fountain outside a flagstar bank. The fountain didn’t squirt high enough for me to fill my bottle up, but i did get about 20% of the bottle with the angle i had to hold the bottle at.

Continuing, it was getting darker. This provided me with the motivation to ride as fast as I could, but i was getting hungry, since I didn’t eat anything before leaving. The hunger held me back a little, but i managed to keep up a decent speed.

Looking down at my odometer, I had passed 20 miles. This killed my motivation, as I still knew i was far from finished. However, I was reminded that I still had 5 miles to go between orion, and oxford. So, i continued on, exhausted, and starving.

Rounding a corner, I saw a couple of bikers. They were taking up both lanes of two-track, so I had to stay behind them for a little while. But, as I looked up I realized that I had finally reached downtown orion. So, I gave the two a “coming through”, and bursted into the other lane, to pass both of them and get back onto that sweet, sweet pavement.

The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful. I rushed back, and for the first time in my life, cherished the chance to stand at a stop light. Everything was was easy. I rode some large hills like they were nothing, and got some decent speeds. I was still very hungry, but i was no longer thirsty. My stomach was aching, but that just made me want to get home faster.

I sped through orion, and the little bit of oxford that i ride. I made it home at 9:45pm.

Trip distance: 28.30 miles
Total for the year: 1,185.0 miles
Max Speed: 21.5 miles

That’s how i spent my night. I don’t know if i’ll be able to ride tomorrow. My hands, wrists and knees are killing me.

some more words

Hello internet family,
here’s what I’ve done since the last post:

Gave up porn until friday.
Gave up eating at night until saturday when I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at like 11pm
Rode bike for a long time
Did some photoshoping on some new and old photos
Published a photo blog
Rode my bike through extremely hazardous traffic to see the fireworks (forgot camera, Fuck!)
Bought a mitch hedberg cd
Tuned my bass guitar

Yeah, the porn giveup lasted 4 days. I’m happy to have lasted that long without going nuts.
Eating at night is difficult because i’m always hungry.
I rode bike every day like usual.
I photoshopped some new and old photos for that photo blog that i mentioned in the point below that.

The bike trip to orion for the fireworks was the worst idea I’ve had this year. The dad and I left home at 9pm, and biked as fast as we could to orion. I did about 20 miles an hour for the entire trip there, and i was a sweaty mess just after the first 5 mile trip. Downtown orion was barely recognizable, and I almost got hit several times.

Dad and I went out to his friend’s house where we could get a good view of the fireworks. We were able to see the fireworks for the first half, and then there was a 15 minute technical failure. Then they started again, but the barge they were firing from was floating away, thus preventing us from seeing the greater portion of the second half.

The trip back was even more chaotic. Everything was stop and go, except we couldn’t stop. So, it was slow down, and go, and then come close to crashing over this curb, and then get yelled at by a drunk girl who doesn’t seem to like people who ride bikes.

My bike was having trouble for about a week. It’s fixed now. It was making a strange clicking noise on every peddal rotation, it doesn’t anymore.

I bought a mitch hedberg cd today. It’s pretty funny.

When I got home i tuned my bass guitar. That was a time consuming process.

That’s all i have. This blog post was brought to you by winterfresh, the official chewing gum provider of mikey’s blog thing.

Giving up a few things this week

This week I’m giving up two things.

1) Eating at night
2) Masturbating

Giving up each of these things is immensly difficult. I always get hungry after I brush my teeth (brushed at 11pm), and I whenever I have nothing to do, I break out the porn.

I am giving up the masturbation because of the fact that every time i jack off, something bad happens, and each day i avoid it, i build up a good luck strain. So, I figure if I give it up for a week or two, I’ll have enough good luck to pull of something really awesome. In addition to that, I always feel better in the middle of the day if I haven’t looked at porn or anything like that.

You might ask “Why are you giving it up now?” . Well, tonight I was riding my bike through the woods, and I ran into a guy I knew several years ago. His name’s Matt Zimmerman, and he’s wanted to beat my head flat ever since he got the idea that I stole his cell phone. During our original encounter, he forced me to take the blame for his missing cell phone, and said he would beat me up and kill me with his friends if I didn’t. so, I took the blame, and agreed to pay him for his new phone. This encounter was back when I was a teenager, and this forced me to become a recluse for fear that he and his friends would murder me if they found me out in public.

Well, Tonight i just saw him, and biked away before he could say anything. I did get kind of pissed off at myself for not saying anything. So, it’s my plan to build up a strain of good luck by not masturbating, and tell him to fuck off to his face some time after a week has passed.

Hopefully this plan works out. The guy certainly deserves it for fucking up my life so bad.

As for why i’m giving up the late night eating… I just need to, that’s all. I want to lose this weight faster, and I think this will help. My current weight is 230, so I did pass my 50 pound mark. I need to lose more faster though.

In other news, I plan on visiting the fireworks/carnival this weekend. I hope to get some photos of the fireworks, but I”m not sure if the weather will be camera safe. So, We’ll just see how the weather is on sunday. The carnival should be fun though. All the carnies have filled up the parking lot by the pond in orion with their Rv’s and such. I Think they’ll start setting up some time later this week.

Here’s a picture of me. Some people have said I don’t look ugly anymore. Huzzah for that.

Blues Festival: The Aftermath

Filed under: Music, The Daily RoundUp, Weight Loss — mikey @ 10:43 pm

Today was the day of the blues festival. I got up at 2:30, ate lunch, did some internet, and then left.

I rode my bike to the show because i knew my feet would be hurting if i had to stand on my feet all day, and then walk back home. When I got there, i locked my bike up, but my lock didn’t want to secure. I spent about 20 minutes battling it until it finally locked, and let me walk away with my key.

I managed to walk right in without anybody asking for my ticket. I’m not sure how, but they just watched me walk right by without saying a thing.

The event was much busier than last year. Much more people walking around. The stage was the same, just about every event here in oxford uses the same stage. But, the whole thing was much more lively.

I wore a hat, and my sunglasses to the show to prevent overheating.

After an hour and a half i walked across the street to ken’s coney island for dinner. I didn’t feel like getting in one line to buy food tickets to get in another line to buy food with the tickets. The food did look good though.

Ate a cheeseburger and fries at ken’s. They were good.

Came back, walked right in without being asked for my ticket.

Walked into the beer tent, and got my arm band. Bought one 20oz beer for $5. Drank it next to the rednecks hanging out in the beer tent, the only area where you are allowed to drink alcoholic beverages. One redneck had a hot girlfriend, but i resisted looking at her to avoid being beaten up the redneck who would be sure to become enraged if I had looked at her.

As I walked out, some cop said “hey mikey”. I think i recognized the voice, but I don’t know.. yeah, alright. I did say hey back though.

Watched some bands, they were good. More energy than the bands who played last year.

Sat down by the lake with some people and this fat girl wearing a “PRO-LIFE T-SHIRT DAY” shirt walked past us to lay down on her towl. When she lied down, the front of the shirt was shown. “ABORTION KILLS” with a picture of an aborted fetus. I made sure to hang out to say something when she got up to leave. Skip ahead 15 minutes, i had been holding a happy-man smile for about 10 minutes, and when she got up i looked at her with a smiling face and said “I like your shirt”. She gave me the typical look a fat, hot (temperature), angry, pro-life women gives a man.

After that, I was feeling pretty fresh. So, I walked around several of the booths up around the festival. The most interesting one was one for the “NORTH OAKLAND COUNTY REPUBLICAN CLUB”. I stopped by there, and looked at some of the buttons they were selling at $3.00 a peice. Here’s a short list of some of the pins:

  • “Somewhere in arkansas, a village is missing it’s idiot” with a photo of hillary clinton
  • “Big-Ot - A conservative winning an argument with a liberal”
  • “No Gun Control / Yes Border Control”

I don’t think they did did much thinking when coming up with the pins, but I made sure to smile, and laugh at many of them. Eventually, one of the guys came up to talk to me, and he asked me if I was a conservative. I told him “I’m a big time liberal”, and we had a fun chat about how liberals are destroying america, and all these liberal countries are just lazy pussies.

So then i watched a bunch of bands. Each band was great in their own way. Instrumental blues sounds pretty awesome. Then while i was watching this one band, this cop walked up to me and asked to see my wristband. The band was still playing, and i pulled out my ticket to show him. he said “NO! YOU NEED TO HAVE A WRISTBAND! I DON’T CARE IF YOU HAVE A TICKET! YOU NEED A WRISTBAND!”.

So, I walked all the way back down to the gate, and got my wrist band. Then I walked back to where i was, and watched the band for about 25 more minutes.

By that time, I had a big headache. So, I walked back across the street to the parking lot i locked my bike up at, and rode all the way back home.

The show was pretty great. I’m happy to have gone. I just wish I would have brought my camera along to take a picture of all the republican pins.

That’s all.

what happend

$50 from grandmother
$100 from parents

Bought a tuner for my bass guitar. Owner of the store gave me a $10 ticket to the blues festival as a birthday gift, as well as a 15 track sampler cd.

Went out to dinner, chinese buffet. That was alright.

Rode bike out to the uncle/cousin’s house. Had a chat with cousin.

Was going to buy some alcohol but i didn’t feel like it.

Happy to get the ticket to the blues festival. I was planning on going.. That’s happening on saturday, i think. Some day… Should be fun.

I ordered a new camera, and I got a 2GB sdcard with it as a special over at newegg. Here’s the camera: canon a620.

Time to go bike. See ya later, folks.

the first 3.5 hours of being 23.

Filed under: The Daily RoundUp, The Internet, Weight Loss — mikey @ 11:53 pm

I’ve been 23 for 3 and half hours now, and i’m not having very much fun.

CentOS3 on virtuozzo is not a good operating system. Attempting to install yum for this guy, it demands we install libxml2-python, and libxml2-python demands libxml2. We have libxml2 installed, but it demands another version. I check the version, it wants a version older than the one we have installed. I try and find another version, but it never works. FreeBSD is better. Stop using linux, people.

On top of those Centos3 on virtuozzo problems, Centos4 is not available on virtuozzo. Aparently they did at some time, but no longer is this the case.

I did ride the bike today, and my odometer now reads 801.93. The trip took me south from my house to orion, west down indianwood road, north up the pollyann trail up into town, then i rode all the way to stoney beach. The beach is alright. I stayed there for about 10 minutes, then continued back south towards town, then headed east home. On the trip, I found two golf balls outside of two different golf courses.

I’m considering switching a forum from IPB to vB when vB 3.5 is out.

People give me shit too often. He’s probably going to read this some time.. Fuck you, aussie bob. I don’t really hate you, but you were a real dick in that religion thread. From reading my posts about blue27, you know I hate it when people are condescending, and you purposely did it in that thread.

[20:22] Mikey: will i get banned if i send bob a pm telling him to stop being a “condescending cock whore” ?
[20:30] Anonymous Friend: maybe

That’s from the heart.

It turns out my 128MB flash card went dead. I spent a shit load of money on that card, and it’s dead now.. Fucking olympus.

Well, that’s it from me. See ya later, people.
